conditions, technical set-up and Acceptable Use policies that are designed to be
as simple as possible . |
Commercial Conditions
|
All payments are to be made electronically (no
cheques) either by standing order or a direct payment using your own Internet
banking facilities. This operation is too small to warrant the issuing and
management of Direct Debits or credit cards.
Payments must be received by the due date so
normally this will mean that they should be sent up to five working days in
advance. ADSL service provision carries a real cost so if payment is not
received on time, the service may be terminated forthwith. if you wish to
terminate the service in an orderly manner please let us know in advance.
This service is designed for personal, family and
small business usage. If you would like a hosting service to support your
corporate web site, please ask us to put together something appropriate for you.
This is definitely not aimed at large scale users. |
Technical set-up
|
Broadband service is provided through standard 'Plain Old Telephone
Service' lines, not ISDN or cable providers. There are some areas of
the UK where the service is not available. As well as a suitable line,
the following equipment is needed:
- An ADSL modem or router - including wireless routers
- A connection from your modem or router to your PC or local
area network
- A microfilter for each BT access point on the line that is
to be connected. These prevent any interference between standard
telephone calls and the ADSL signals that share the same wires.
Assistance in the set-up of your equipment, wireless or local
area network should be obtained from the suppliers or manufacturers of these
components, from one of the many internet bulletin boards that exist for the
purpose, or from a PC and networking infrastructure specialist or company.
